How I work

As a fine art children's portrait photographer, I craft visual poetry that transcends the boundaries of traditional portraiture. Each image is a carefully composed tableau, blending the innocence of youth with the elegance of classical art.

Before we shoot: We'll have a chat so I can get to know your child a little and  understand their personality, likes, and dreams. This helps me create a personalised mood board that guides our session.

Unique clothes: I have put together a specific collection of clothes and props over a period of some years, and have been very selective in sourcing each individual piece so that it works with this style.. These aren't your typical portrait outfits - they're designed to give each image a timeless feel.

Hair styling: I have worked with my stylist for over 10 years and we work seamlessly. I brief her before the shoot and discuss the styles I would like to complete the look.

Artistic lighting: Employing advanced lighting techniques, including the beautiful and distinctive ‘butterfly lighting’, I sculpt each image to achieve a painterly quality that captivates the eye and stirs the soul.

Relaxed Atmosphere: On the day of the shoot, your child's comfort is paramount.  there is no rush, no pressure and there is an ambiance of fun. We take breaks when needed, and we make sure your child feels comfortable and enjoys the experience.

The studio becomes a playground of creativity, in an unhurried environment.
